RUG HOOKING WORKSHOP

Join us on Sunday, June 30, Monday, July 1st and Tuesday, July 2nd  for a rug hooking workshop with instructor Lynne Howard from Calgary, Canada.  Lynne is an amazing teacher and dyer of wool.

This will be an open workshop for you to work on a project of your own choosing.  Lynne will help you to color plan and develop your project. She will have her beautiful dyed wool for sale for this project or the next.  On Wednesday morning, July 3rd,  Lynne’s “store” will be available for others to come to Crippen Creek to purchase Lynne’s hand dyed wool.  You do not need to take the workshop to shop on Wednesday morning.

The workshop will take place at The Inn at Crippen Creek Farm in Skamokawa, WA. All lodging (shared rooms and baths), meals and instruction are included in the price of $495.00. You can check out our facilities on our website. http://www.crippencreek.com/the-roadhouse   The workshop will begin on Sunday afternoon.  You can get set up and start working before dinner at the Inn.  Monday and Tuesday are full days of hooking and instruction with 3 meals each day.  After breakfast on Wednesday morning, you will have a last chance to shop and then depart by 11 am. 

Our guest instructor, Lynne Howard, has been a certified McGown teacher since the mid 1990’s.She teaches rug hooking in Canada, the western US and has also taught in Mexico.Her hooked rugs have appeared in Celebrations four times and have been featured on two different sets of cards.Lynne teachers all forms of rug hooking and especially loves wide cuts, folk art, whimsical designs

and helping color plan projects.  She also loves helping people resurrect projects that need to come out of the closet!

We welcome beginners. Lynne will have kits and the necessary tools for beginners
